Are you looking for an extensive and all-inclusive list of pop up camper accessories? This is it!
Nothing makes an unhappy camper like arriving to a campsite unprepared. But with this list, you won't have to worry about that!
It took me 8 hours to put this list together, so you know all the bases are covered. From towing to storage, inside the camper and outside, it's all here.
Since this list is SO LONG, I converted it into a simple checklist that is organized by category. If you want it, just enter your name and email below and I'll email it over for free!
This list is organized by activity and area. Click through the table of contents below if you're short on time!
Must Have Pop Up Camper Accessories for Setting Up Camp
First things first: this section covers the absolute must-have accessories for setting up your pop up camper at the campsite. These accessories are essential for comfort, safety, and proper pop up camper operation.
When you set up your camper at the campsite, the first thing you need to do before opening it is get it level. I've included the items you need to level your pop up camper in this section. If you want more guidance on leveling, check out this article to learn how to properly level your pop up camper!
Wheel Chocks
- Pack of Two
- Non-Slip Base
- For Tires Up to 26 inches in Diameter
- Durable UV Resistant Material
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
When you park your camper, you need to chock the wheels. This is true whether you're setting it up at a campsite or parking it in your driveway! Adding wheel chocks helps prevent the camper from rolling, these are an essential safety feature.
Leveling Blocks
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
You use leveling blocks under your pop up camper tires on uneven ground to ensure the camper is level from side to side. Leveling blocks are a must-have pop up camper accessory because campsites are notoriously uneven!
Having a level camper is for more than just comfort: it's for safety and proper camper operation. Your RV refrigerator must be level to work properly, and your pop up must be level to set up properly and to not damage the door.

Surge Protector
- For Campers With 30amp Service
- Protects Essential Electrical Equipment
- Prevents Appliance Damage from Power Surges
- Protects Against Faulty Electric Pedestals
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
An RV surge protector is an essential piece of electrical equipment that you use when setting up camp. The surge protector acts as a failsafe for faulty campground electrical pedestals and protects against power surges from lightning and more. In the event of a faulty pedestal or power surge, the surge protector will take the power surge and protect your camper's sensitive electrical system.
Without a surge protector, you run the risk of completely frying your campers electrical system or expensive equipment like your AC, refrigerator, or more.
There are all kinds of surge protectors, including models that cost up to $300 or more. I've included a budget-friendly yet well-trusted brand that will do the trick just fine. Most pop up campers have 30amp service, so that's what I've included here. If you want more features, look for 30amp RV surge protectors on Amazon.
Dogbone Adapters
- For Campers With 30amp Service to Connect to a 15amp Plug
- Essential For Plugging in At Home
- Essential for Some Tent Camping Sites
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
You won't use a dogbone adapter at every campsite, but it's important to have one in your camper in case you do need it. A dogbone adapter converts your RV plug to a different type depending on the power source.
The dogbone adapter in the photo above is for a 30amp RV plug to be able to plug into a regular household power source. You can't pull as much power from a household source, but you will still be able to charge electronics like cell phones and laptops and power your fridge and lights.
You can (and should) also have a 30 to 50amp dogbone adapter in case you ever get to a campsite that only has a 50amp connection.
Potable Water Hose
- 35 ft Fresh Potable Water Hose for RVs
- Free of Harmful Chemicals
- Kink Free Design for Easy Use and Storage
- UV Stabilized For Long Life Span
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
If your pop up camper has a drinking water system, you need a special potable water hose. A potable water hose is for fresh drinking water only and is made without chemicals or plastics present in utility or garden hoses.
Your potable water hose should always be stored away from any other equipment in it's own sanitary container. Never use this hose for cleaning purposes or anything other than drinking water.
RV Water Filter
- Filters Campground Water for Drinking and Sediment
- Lasts 6 Plus Months
- Includes Heavy Duty Hose Protector
- Protects Against Bacteria Growth When Not In Use
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
An RV water filter helps filter the water that you get from campgrounds and prevents sediment and minerals from clogging up your camper's sensitive plumbing. Each campground has different water, and sometimes sediment and minerals come through.
You don't need a wild or crazy water filter for your RV, an inexpensive inline filter like this one from Camco will do the trick just fine. Simply screw your water filter onto your potable water hose and you never have to remove it until it's time to change it.
RV Water Pressure Regulator
- Protects RV Plumbing From High Water Pressure
- Durable Drinking Water Safe Brass Construction
- Reduces Water Pressure to 40 to 50 PSI
- Easily Attaches to Hose and Spigot Fittings
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
An RV water pressure regulator costs less than $10 but can save you potentially hundreds of dollars. RV plumbing systems are only built to withstand a certain amoujnt of water pressure, but the pressure coming out of campground spigots is unregulated.
If you plug into a spigot with more pressure than your camper can handle, you can expect to have to replace a lot of pipes and fittings. An RV water pressure regulator makes sure that the water pressure never exceeds what your RV can handle, and you can leave it attached to your hose – easy peasy.
Utility Water Hose
- Use for Cleaning, Rinsing, and Utility Purposes
- Collapses for Storage
- Durable Exterior Construction
- Kink Free Hose Interior
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
A utility water hose is the hose that you'll use for everything other than fresh drinking water. You can use a utility hose for cleaning your sewer hose, cleaning off dirty feet, cleaning your camper, setting up a sprinkler, etc.
Any regular garden hose will do for your RV utility hose. An expanding hose is great for your pop up camper because it takes up less room in storage.
RV Sewer Hose and Attachments
- Durable Hose for Dumping Gray and Black Water
- Fittings and Caps Included
- Kink Free, Collapse-Free Design
- Packs Down Small for Storage
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
If your pop up camper has a gray tank or a black tank for waste water storage, you need an RV sewer hose kit. The Rhino Flex Extreme is my personal favorite because it's sturdy, durable, and easy to use. This kit also comes with everything you need so you don't have to worry about purchasing other attachments.
I've used cheap sewer hoses before, and that's the quickest way to have an RV black tank mishap. No thank you!
Totes for Hose and Supply Storage
- 24 Quart Clear Plastic Storage Totes
- Stackable with Latching Lids
- Six Pack
- Integrated Handles
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Honestly you can use whatever bins or totes you want for your RV hose and supply storage, just be sure to keep everything separate.
Your RV sewer hose needs it's own dedicated tote, your utility hose needs it's own, and your fresh water hose definitely needs it's own sanitary storage. Consider keeping some sanitizing wipes handy to wipe out your fresh water hose tote before storing your hose each time.
If all your totes are the same color, be sure to label them clearly so you don't end up storing your drinking water hose in your sewage tote!
Bubble Level
- 6 Pack Standard Bubble Levels
- Helps Determine If Your RV Is Level Front to Back, Side to Side, and More
- Screw Mounted for Secure Installation
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Bubble levels help you determine whether or not your pop up camper is level at your campsite. This pack of bubble levels can be used vertically, horizontally, side to side, and front to back.
I stuck bubble levels on various points of my large RV to make sure it was totally level, but you don't even have to stick them anywhere! As long as you remember where they are when it's time to get the camper level, you're set.
Tongue Jack Wheel Stopper
- Holds Trailer Tongue Wheel Steady
- Prevents Tongue Jack from Sinking in Soft Ground
- Easy to Store, Use, and Transport
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
This Camco Wheel Dock is a must have pop up camper accessory for setting up your campsite. This device will help your camper's tongue jack wheel from rolling around or sinking in mud, and it's super easy to use and store. It's also under $15, that's a bonus!
BAL Leveler
- For Single Axle Trailer
- Fits 13, 14 and Most 15 inch Wheels
- Special Ratchet Wrench Included
- Corrosion-Resistant Finish Can Withstand Any Weather Conditions
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
There are a few ways to go about leveling your pop up camper. If you choose other methods, you can skip the BAL leveler. But, as mentioned in my article about leveling a pop up camper, a BAL tire leveler makes it a breeze!
You simply place this device under a tire on the low side of the camper, crank it up until it's level, and you're done.
Stabilizer Jacks
- Set of 4 Scissor Jacks with Hand Crank
- Supports Up to 5,000lbs
- Adjusts 4 inch to 24 inch
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Most pop up campers already have stabilizer jacks. But if yours are broken, you don't have any, or you don't have enough, you can purchase them and easily install yourself.
Stabilizer jacks are not for leveling your camper, but they make it more stable when you're sitting and walking inside of it.
Heavy Duty Extension Cord
- Heavy Duty 15amp, 30 foot Extension Cord
- For RV, Mobile Home, and Home Use
- 14 Gauge Wire
- Three Pronged Grounded Polarized Extension Cord
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
A heavy duty extension cord is a handy pop up camper accessory. Whether you want to use it to plug additional appliances into your electric pedestal, run your RV or an appliance from a generator, or more, you won't be upset that you have one handy.
If you plan to run a large appliance like a space heater from an extension cord, you must make sure you have a large gauge heavy duty cord. If you try to run a large appliance off a cord that's too small, there is a risk of fire from an overheated cord.
Optional: Motorized Tongue Jack
- Powered Tongue Jack with 4000lb Lift Capacity
- Emergency Manual Override In Case of Dead Battery
- LED Lights for Night Time Use
- Easy Installation
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
This item is totally optional, but it might make your life a little bit easier! With a motorized tongue jack, setting up and leveling your pop up camper is as easy as the push of a button.
Plus, this tongue jack has a wide base foot so you don't have to worry about using a wheel dock to prevent it from sinking or moving on the ground.
Optional: Hitch Dolly
- 600lb Tongue Weight Capacity
- Makes Manually Moving Your Camper a Breeze
- Great for Parking In Garage or Driveway
- Can Also Be Used For Boats and Other Small Trailers
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Honestly, sometimes parking a pop up camper can be a major PITA. This is especially true when you just need to move it a couple inches or are trying to park it perfectly in your driveway or garage.
A hitch dolly is a totally optional device, but it might make your life a whole lot easier. The beauty of this item is that your pop up camper is actually lightweight enough for you to push it around yourself to get it perfectly aligned, and this hitch dolly helps you do just that.
Pop Up Gizmos
Pop Up Gizmos are bunk-end covers that go over the pop-out tent portions of your camper. These reflective covers help reflect sunlight to keep your camper cooler in the summer and can help reduce drafts and prevent heat loss in the winter, too. Lastly, Pop Up Gizmos help prevent your canvas from UV ray damage.
This company also manufactures interior pop up camper bunkliners, cooler covers, and more.
Must Have Pop Up Camper Accessories For Power
Whether your campsite has a power pedestal or not (or if you're boondocking) you still need a way to get power in your pop up camper.
These accessories will help you get power no matter what kind of pedestal you have – even if you're dry camping with no hookups!

Camping Generator
No products found.
A camping generator is a must have pop up camper accessory for off-grid and supplemental power.
Generators can be gas powered or propane powered and come in many different power ratings. There are downsides to generators, like the noise, exhaust, and fuel consumption. But if you need to run an AC on a hot day, you'll sure be glad you have one!
This Predator camping generator is comparable to the Honda Camping Generator, it's just the Harbor Freight brand. It's quiet (as far as generators go), can run a lot of appliances (including an AC), and it costs a lot less than the leading brands. I've used this generator for camping and can recommend it with confidence.
Pop Up Camper Generator Mount
- Bumper Mounted RV Generator Carrier and Cargo Tray
- Over 60 Tie-Down Points
- 24 inch by 24 inch Expandable Tray
- Easy Installation Instructions
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
If you decide to use a generator for supplemental power to your camper, you need a place to mount and transport it.
You don't want to store your generator in your camper or your car, because once it's been used it will have a very strong exhaust and gasoline odor.
Unless you have a pickup truck and transport it in the bed, you can purchase a bumper-mounted RV generator mount.
It is essential that you only transport your generator on the mount, but never operate it there.
You should operate your generator as far away from your camper as possible, because exhaust fumes and odorless CO2 can kill! The mount will sit under one of the beds when the camper is set up, so never run your generator while it's sitting on the mount.
Optional: Solar Panel Kit
- 200 Watt Solar Panel Kit
- Includes Panels, Charge Controller, And Connections
- Monocrystalline Panels with PWM Charge Controller
- Great Starter Kit for RV Solar Power
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
If you plan on doing a lot of boondocking with your pop up camper, a solar kit is a great idea to keep your batteries charged and electronics running. While a solar panel kit will not provide enough power to run your AC, it will allow you to power your fridge, charge your phone, run your lights, and more.
There's a lot that goes into sizing the proper solar setup, but you can also make do with a smaller kit. A solar panel kit includes solar panels, a charge controller, and necessary wiring. You will also need an inverter to use the power and a deep cycle battery to store your power.
Optional Solar Component: Inverter
- 2500 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter
- 5000 Watt Peak Power
- Built In Fuses
- One Year Warranty
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
RV solar setups gather energy from the sun and feeds it into a battery via a charge controller that regulates the current. The batteries store the power for your consumption, but in order to use it, you need an inverter.
An inverter transforms the power in the batteries to usable AC power for appliances and electronics.
Deep Cycle Lithium Battery
- 100ah 12v Lithium Deep Cycle RV Battery
- Lasts 10 - 15 Years
- Can Be Discharged 100% With No Battery Damage
- 10 Year Warranty
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
You need a deep cycle battery to power the 12v system in your pop up camper, and most pop up campers will come with these batteries already installed. However, most campers come with lead-acid deep cycle batteries. Lead acid batteries are cheap in price and they're also cheaply made, and they'll only last you about a year.
A deep cycle lithium battery will last you 10 – 15 years, requires no maintenance, and is more efficient than a lead acid battery. All that luxury comes with an expensive up-front price, but compared to the efficiency and lifespan, these batteries are actually much cheaper than buying a new lead acid battery every year. If it's time to replace your RV battery, consider a lithium option.
Optional Solar Alternative: Jackery Portable Power Station
- 1000 Watt Solar Generator
- 2 100W Solar Panels
- Can Power and Charge Many Appliances and Electronics
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Installing a solar system in your camper is an in-depth, complicated, and expensive process. If you're overwhelmed by that, SAME.
A Jackery portable power station is a great alternative to purchasing and installing an entire solar setup in your RV. But a Jackery won't plug directly into your RV 12v DC system, so you'll still need another way to charge your RV batteries.
USB Camping Fans
- Can Run from 8 - 25 Hours on a Single Charge
- Remote Control Operated
- Includes LED Light
- 3 Speed and 3 Brightness Settings
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
USB rechargeable camping fans are essential for those warm summer days and nights. I love USB camping fans like this one because it has a remote and a light – it's really like a 2-in-1.
This fan hangs easily on a hook inside the camper or out at the campsite, rotates, and will run from 8 – 25 hours on a single charge depending on fan speed.
Luci Solar String Lights
- Lasts Up to 20 Hours on a Single Charge
- 18 Feet Long
- Doubles As a Phone Charger
- 4 Light Modes and Battery Level Indicator
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
When you're camping, especially off the grid, you want to save as much electricity as possible. That's why I love solar powered string lights!
These lights are so cute and great for hanging inside the camper for a cute and cozy aesthetic, and they light up the outside of the campsite really well, too. Just be sure to keep them in the sunlight during the day so they can recharge!

Essential Pop Up Camper Accessories for Inside the Camper
Now that we've covered the must have pop up camper accessories for setting up the camper, let's head inside.
Whether you're taking your new or new-to-you pop up camper out for the first time, or you're looking for new accessories you never knew you needed, this list covers everything.
Since this list is so long, I converted it into a simplified checklist so you can keep it handy. Enter your name and email below and I'll send it right over!
Mr Heater Buddy Propane Heater
- 4000 to 9000 BTU Heat Output
- Indoor Safe Propane Heater
- Tip Over Auto Shut Off Safety Feature
- 3 Hour Runtime at Max BTU on One 1lb Propane Tank
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Cold weather camping is so much fun, but freezing inside your camper isn't! A Mr Heater Buddy propane heater is a great choice for cold weather camping. One caveat: you shouldn't run this heater while you are sleeping.
But this heater puts out a massive amount of heat in a short amount of time, making it perfect for making your camper cozy, or even using outside.
I used a Mr Heater Buddy heater in my RV for years. Instead of using the small 1lb propane tanks, I purchased a hose and adapter kit to hook it up to my RV propane tank or bigger portable propane tanks. The heater could go a few days before needed to switch tanks, compared to just a couple of hours!
Carbon Monoxide Detector
- Battery Operated
- Low Battery Alarm
- LED Lights
- 10 year Limited Warranty
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Whether you're using a portable propane heater or an RV furnace, you need a carbon monoxide detector in your camper. Even if you're not using a heater you should have one!
Carbon monoxide can enter your camper from cooking, engine exhaust, and generator exhaust. CO2 is a colorless, odorless gas that can kill you – so everyone should have a detector.
This is a battery powered CO2 detector. You can find RV specific CO2/Propane combo detectors, but they need to be hard-wired into your RV. Test your alarms often and keep extra batteries on hand.
Portable Pop Up Camper Air Conditioner
- 3 Cooling Modes/Speeds
- Built-In Dehumidifier
- Remote Control Operated
- Cools up to 450 Square Feet
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Some pop up campers have air conditioners installed, and some do not. Luckily, you can add one yourself or purchase a portable pop up camper air conditioner to stay cool in those hot summer months.
Personally I think an air conditioner is a 100% absolute necessity.
A portable air conditioner like the one on this list is much cheaper than a roof-mounted RV air conditioner, way easier to use and install, and will cool down your entire pop up camper.
Sure, it takes up floor space, but it's so worth it. If you don't have an air conditioner already installed, this is the way to go.
Dehumidifier
- Ultra Quiet Operation
- Up to 510 Square Feet
- Remote Control Operated
- Large Water Tank
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
A dehumidifier is an essential pop up camper accessory in both the winter and summer. In the summer, a dehumidifier will help keep the camper feeling cooler with less humidity. In the winter, a dehumidifier will help eliminate humidity and condensation caused by heat and burning a propane heater.
When your pop up camper is in storage, you should use dehumidifying dessicant packs to keep your RV mildew free.
Memory Foam Mattress Topper
- Queen Sized Mattress Topper with Removable Cover
- Ventilated and Gel Infused for Cooling and Breathability
- No Harmful Ingredients
- 10 Year Warranty
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Let's face it: pop up camper beds aren't the most comfortable things in the world. You can avoid buying a new mattress entirely by getting yourself a high-quality mattress topper, like this one here.
This mattress topper is made out of comfortable memory foam with a cooling gel to help keep you cool on warm summer nights. A comfy and well-rested camper is a happy camper!
Camping Coffee Maker: Jetboil with Coffee Press Attachment
- 1 Liter Cooking Cup
- Boils Water in 100 Seconds or Less
- Wind Resistant Burner
- Accessories Nest Inside Cup for Easy Storage

- Turns Your Jetboil Flash Cooking System into a Coffee Maker
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
There are so many different ways to make coffee, even when you don't have electricity. And if you're not a coffee snob, I'm guessing you don't care how your coffee is made, as long as it gets made.
You can purchase an electric coffee maker for your pop up camper, but these take up a lot of space, use a ton of electricity, and can only be used for one purpose.
I suggest using my personal favorite camping coffee maker: a french press! But this device isn't only a french press, it's an incredible super fast water boiling device for tea, soup, even hot water for dishes. This thing boils water in under 100 seconds!
I use my Jet Boil for everything, and getting a french press attachment turns it into the best camping coffee maker ever. This is the exact one that I have!
If you've never used a french press, it's really easy. You just measure out your coffee grounds, add them to hot water, let steep for a few minutes, and then push down the screen plunger to separate and filter so you can pour your coffee into your cup.
Pet Couch Cover
- Reversible Quilted Sofa Cover
- Protects from Odor, Mud, Fur, and Holes
- Multiple Sizes and Colors
- Non Slip Grip Fit
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
If you're bringing pets along on your pop up camper trip, I highly recommend covering your pop up camper furniture with pet couch covers. Couch covers will protect your camper furniture from fur, odor, mud, and holes from their nails.
These might even be a good idea to get even if you don't have pets! Covering your furniture makes it last longer and keeps it clean.
Reflective Radiant Barrier Insulation
- Reflects 95 Percent of Radiant Energy
- Insulates Against Heat, Cold, and Sound
- Easy to Cut and Store
- Multiple Roll Size Options
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
This Reflectix-style insulation is great for insulating your pop up camper from both heat and cold. Cut pieces of this to fit the tent sides of your camper to block heat from the sun, and use it to keep heat inside your camper on cold and blustery days.
This radiant barrier insulation is really easy to work with, and it is easy to store and transport, too. It might not be the most beautiful thing, but it really works!
If you want to spruce it up a bit, head to your local fabric store and get some cute fabric and a glue stick to cover the inside of your pop up camper insulating pieces.
RV Toilet Paper
- Septic and RV Safe Toilet Paper
- Breaks Down in RV Holding Tanks
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
You shouldn't be surprised to see RV toilet paper on this list!
If your pop up camper has a toilet or if you bring along a portable camping toilet, you need RV safe toilet paper. You don't have to purchase the most expensive stuff, but RV toilet paper exists for a reason!
RV toilet paper breaks down in the toilet holding tank so as to not cause clogs – the last thing you want to deal with when camping is a sewage clog. Gross! You can find RV toilet paper in most major department stores, or look for TP that says “septic safe”.
Holding Tank Deodorizer
- Will Last Years for a Pop Up Camper
- Organic and Biodegradable
- Helps Break Down Waste and Toilet Paper
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
To further add on to the RV toilet talk, if you have a toilet in or around your pop up camper, you're going to want some holding tank deodorizer. Especially for such a small space!
The Happy Campers holding tank deodorizer is organic, which I recommend for many reasons. First, it has no chemical smell. Second, it's biodegradable and will not harm your holding tank or the RV park septic tank that you eventually dump into. Many holding tank deodorizers are full of chemicals that damage septic systems.
This particular container of holding tank deoderizer will literally last you years in a pop up camper – it has 64 scoops, and 1 scoop treats up to 40 gallons.
First Aid Kit
- 250 Pieces includes First Aid and Survival Gear
- Water Resistant 3-Compartment Carrying Bag
- Includes Tactical Flashlight, Glow Sticks, Knife, and More

Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
If you're camping, you need a first aid kit. This one doesn't need much explanation! This tactical first aid kit has everything you need for a first aid situation and lots of survival gear, too.
Bins for Storage and Organization
- 20 Clear 5qt Storage Bins
- Latching Lids
- Stackable
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
One of the most popular questions I see among pop-up camper groups is of people looking for great pop up camper storage ideas .
My answer to this: BINS. Bins, bins, and more bins! The key to organization is separation and the only way to achieve that is with multiple bins and cubbies. Use clear bins to organize items so you can easily see what's inside.
Zipper Wax and Snap Lube
- Prevents Snaps and Zippers from Getting Stuck
- No Mess Stick Applicator
- Protects Metal Against Rust and Corrosion
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Your pop up camper canvas likely has zippers and snaps, and sometimes they can be finicky. This is true especially if they're old or have been worn by the weather!
You can always keep a candle on hand for the old zipper wax trick, but it's easier to just keep some zipper and snap lube handy. This stuff is made for a marine environment, but it makes a great addition for your pop up camper tool kit.
Handheld Vacuum
- Fits All Ryobi Batteries
- Lightweight, Handheld, Powerful Suction
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Vacuuming is just so much easier than sweeping, isn't it? Especially for getting into those little crevices!
I personally keep this Ryobi handheld vacuum handy in my camper. I love it because it's green and because it's Ryobi, and I use Ryobi power tools so I always have a charged up battery ready to go. And it just works really well!
Trash Can
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Don't forget a trash can! There are many pop up camper trash can ideas, like: mounting one inside a cabinet, using a pop up trashcan, and more.
If you're a weekend camper, I think a pop up trashcan is a great idea. They're super easy to fold down for storage and it's just one less thing to worry about.
Portable Camping Toilet
- Residential Style Camping Toilet
- Sanitary and Odorless, Actually Flushes
- Easy to Use, Clean, and Store
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
If your camper doesn't have a toilet, I highly recommend getting one! You don't have to get a toilet installed in your camper. In fact, it's actually nicer to have a toilet that you can use outside of the pop up camper.
There are many different types of portable camping toilets. I have a portable camping toilet and I just love it.
I recommend this Thetford Porta Potti. It's the same style of a residential toilet and very easy and comfortable to use. And it's a budget toilet compared to some of the others!
Toilet Tent
- Easy Pop Up and Fold Down
- Elastic Hangers for Toilet Paper, Towels, and Showerhead
- Comes with Bags for Sand and Stakes for Holding Down
- Extra Tall for Showering and Changing Clothes
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Okay so this isn't technically for the inside of the camper, but if you get a toilet, you should get a pop up toilet tent. This is so you can keep the toilet outside in it's own tent. You can keep it as far away from your camper as you want for comfort and privacy.
I've personally used this specific pop up toilet tent and I like how easy it is to set up and take down. It has elastic hangers on the inside for hanging toilet paper and a showerhead, I used the tent for showering, too!

Zero Gravity chairs are beloved by RVers and campers everywhere. They're like recliners for the outdoors! You can get them in packs of two on Amazon.
The one thing I don't love about these chairs is how bulky and heavy they are. If you are short on storage space, you might be better off sticking with regular camping chairs.

An outdoor camp rug really ties everything together. Not only is it great for aesthetics, it makes it feel more cozy and keeps your campsite clean.
A camp rug prevents dirt, grass, and mud from being tracked into the camper. Good camp rugs are made out of a woven plastic material and are waterproof, weatherproof, and super easy to clean.
I chose this rug because I love the design, it's so pretty and reversible! You can find many others on Amazon if you have different tastes.

Thermacell Mosquito Repellent
No products found.
Mosquitos are the bane of my existence. And they're not just annoying, they're dangerous. Mosquitos carry deadly diseases like West Nile, Zika, and more. And I don't know if it's just me, but they've seemed particularly bad this year.
The Thermacell Mosquito Repeller is a 20 foot mosquito repellent device that doesn't require burning candles or spraying bug spray. This device works by heating a repellent pad that's odorless to humans and creates a 20ft wall to repel pesky mosquitos. I have one and I love it, I even use it while just sitting on the back porch.

This portable campsite water heater is propane heated and runs off of a battery for the water pump – it's truly off-grid.
Tire Covers
Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
Tire covers help protect your tires from UV damage while sitting at the campsite and while parked in storage. UV damage breaks down tire rubber over time and can lead to blowouts, flat tires, and dry rot.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Last update on 2024-10-05 / Affiliate links / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API
A tire pressure monitoring system is a tire safety component that can help prevent tire blowouts while driving. A TPMS gives you real-time data of your tire pressure and temperature.
Steep changes in tire pressure or temperature can alert you to an impending tire blowout. This feature helps you get off the road to assess your tires and can help prevent blowouts and accidents caused by tire blowouts.
This specific tire pressure monitoring system has 6 sensors: one for each wheel of your car, and one for each wheel of your pop up camper. You simply screw the sensors onto the valve stem of the car and put the monitor in your vehicle to have real time information.

Pop Up Camper Accessories Make Your Life Easier
Is it an absolute necessity to own every single thing on this list? No.
Will these items make your life much easier? Yes!
I sorted this list by what part of the RV you will need them for, and for the truly optional items, I labeled them as “optional”.
I won't ever recommend things that I think are frivolous or that you don't truly need! It's a major pet peeve of mine to look for articles about things that I need, only to find they're frivolous, don't make sense, or just aren't relevant at all.
Be sure to check out my other articles on RV life and camping, and happy trails!
